About the Author
Karen has combined her many life experiences as a single Christian mom of a Marine, an elementary school teacher, a world traveler, a grandmother, and a childhood in Girl Scouts to help shape her writing of wholesome books for young children. She believes children should be allowed to remain innocent as long as possible while also learning to accept responsibilities for their lives and contribute to the welfare of others.
Karen’s patriotic picture books celebrate the values, symbols, and heroes that make our nation strong. Through heartfelt storytelling and beautiful illustrations, her books honor the American flag, the sacrifices of our service members, and the importance of teaching these traditions to the next generation.
